Professional Focus: Molly Lobel is a Family Nurse Practitioner and Interim Medical Director at Nasson Health Care. She is responsible for strategic leadership and quality improvement, clinical leadership, and direct patient care. She supports a team of five Advanced Practice Providers, with a passion for provider retention and wellness.

Molly graduated with a BA in Science in Society from Wesleyan University. After several years as an EMT building an interest in community health, Molly completed an RN and MSN from University of Southern Maine. Her passion for the community health setting led her to primary care, where she feels at home. In her practice as an FNP, Molly has gained a deep appreciation for her patients and coworkers. She has a clinical interest in caring for patients with chronic pain, substance use disorders, and housing insecurity, and strives to ensure every patient feels welcome and safe at the health center. Previous Experience: My prior experience is in critical care with a focus on neurocritical care and I have experience in trauma/surgical critical care. In addition, I currently work per diem in neurocritical care and hospitalist medicine in Maine.

Professional Focus: James is focused on delivering community based healthcare for the prevention of chronic diseases with a strong interest in community awareness for acute disease processes (i.e. stroke). He values comprehensive healthcare for all people and maintaining longstanding relationships with patients and families in the communities he serves. He is also personally interested in point of care ultrasound (POCUS) and wilderness medicine.

Hobbies: James is interested in anything outdoor or water related. He is also interested in coffee, from roasting and brewing to visiting local shops. He loves spending time with his wife and cats. He also enjoys spending time with friends, watching soccer, and seeing live music.

Previous Experience: Kat began her nursing career in Connecticut (CT) in 1999, when she became a certified nursing assistant (CNA). She then became a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in 2002, working in an extended care facility where she provided pediatric home care. After becoming a Registered Nurse (RN) in 2009, shew gained acute care experience working on a Med/Surg Unit, and then 12 years on a Medical Intensive Care Unit. During this time, she also worked in a treatment facility for substance use disorders and medication assisted withdrawal management. After going back to school and becoming a PMHNP-BC in 2022, Kat and her family relocated from CT to Maine and worked for Tri-County Mental Health Services (Spurwink).

Professional Focus: Kat works with clients across the lifespan, from young children to older adults who experience a variety of psychiatric disorders, that include neurodevelopmental, mood, psychotic, eating, anxiety, trauma-based, substance use, and personality disorders.

Hobbies: Kat enjoys doing anything physical – exercising, bicycling, body boarding, swimming, snowboarding, skateboarding, sledding, and playing with her kids. She also loves spending time with her family doing seasonal activities.

Professional Focus: Brenda has worked in healthcare since she was 19 years old and has been interested in community health for over a decade. She is passionate about providing up-to-date and compassionate care to adults and older adults so they can reach their health goals. She believes that high-quality preventative medicine is the best strategy to creating a healthy and thriving community.

Hobbies: Brenda likes to cook and bake for friends and family in her free time. She also enjoys gardening and has a collection of house plants as well.

Previous Experience: Prior to working in a community health setting, Samara worked in residential and outpatient recovery programs that focused in treating addiction and eating disorders. She has also gained valuable experience completing clinical rotations in women’s health, family medicine, and pediatrics.

Professional Focus: Samara uses a collaborative approach to address chronic health conditions, women’s health, preventative medicine, teen and adolescent health, and addiction.

Hobbies: Samara enjoys reading, long-distance hiking, swimming, rock climbing, and spending time with friends, family, and her dog.
